The town of Dolbeau-Mistassini has a magnificent beach of fine sand between the first and second falls on the Mistassini River. It can be reached via Rue Beaurivage, close to downtown Dolbeau. The Vauvert sector also boasts a magnificent beach of fine sand, giving access to several kilometres of shoreline on majestic Lake Saint-Jean. The beach is a key feature of the Vauvert-sur-le-lac-Saint-Jean resort, which offers restaurants, boat rentals and accommodations. Beach access is free and there is lifeguard supervision.
