Aire faunique communautaire du lac Saint-Jean

A special authorization (“autorisation de pêcher”) issued by the Corporation de LACtivité Pêche Lac Saint-Jean (CLAP) is required for sport fishing, including winter fishing and setlining for burbot in Lake Saint-Jean. To fish, anyone 14 years of age or older must hold or be the dependent of a holder of such authorization.

For landlocked salmon, limited fly fishing applies in the Ashuapmushuan, Métabetchouane, Mistassini and Aux Saumons rivers, and specific regulations are in force in these rivers. This activity requires a special authorization, sold exclusively by the CLAP based on a winter lottery.
